The National Center for Assessment (NCA), an affiliate of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), will hold a seminar titled "Quality in Education" next Tuesday, 11 Sha'aban 1440H, at the NCA's headquarters in Riyadh.
The seminar includes a number of topics, the most important of which are the importance and applications of quality in education, institutional excellence and its impact on improving education, assessment tools and their role in controlling the quality of educational inputs and outputs, accreditation programs as a methodology to control the quality of college education, and finally school evaluation and its impact on improving education.
The seminar targets specialists and other individuals interested in the quality of education, men and women, and will witness the participation of a number of prominent speakers. This seminar comes as part of the social responsibility of the NCA to serve the interested parties, researchers and specialists.

The General Director of the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Madairis, will participate in a paper discussing “the Importance and Applications of Quality in Education” and the Head of the Business Administration Department at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Hani Al-Omari, will present a paper entitled "Institutional Excellence and its Impact on Improving Education". Also, the NCA’s Deputy Executive Director Dr. Abdullah Al-Qatai will talk about " the Assessment Tools and their Role in Controlling the Quality of Educational Inputs and Outputs” and a paper entitled "Accreditation Programs as a Methodology to Control the Quality of College Education" will be presented by the Advisor and Supervisor of the Unit of Humanitarian and Educational Majors and Supervisor of the Quality Assurance Unit at the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation, Dr. Mohammed Al-Khairi. Finally, the Supervisor of the School Evaluation Program at ETEC Dr. Saif Al-Qahtani will present a paper entitled "School Evaluation and its Impact on Improving Education ".
It is worth mentioning that quality in our world today is a necessary requirement for every establishment and country aspiring to achieve world leadership in performance and competition. The education sector is at the forefront of sectors that will contribute to the achievement of the quality of outputs to meet the hopes and plans of the state. This will enable the Kingdom's products and services to compete globally, to strengthen our national economy and to enhance the Kingdom's regional and international status as the largest source of energy in the world and one of the top 20 economies in the world today.
