The Teacher Licensure Test measures the extent to which the minimum requirements that should be met by applicants for the teaching profession, including basic necessary knowledge, science and skills.
The Director of the Department of Communication, Media and Relations and the NCA’s official spokesman Mr. Ibrahim Al-Rasheed pointed out that the test was made at the request of the Ministry of Education and is used by the relevant departments within the Ministry for various purposes, including the screening of applicants and the selection of the most qualified ones. The test ( the general and specialized versions) also serves those graduates or perspective graduates seeking to join the teaching profession. He added that the test will be administered during the period 15 – 23 of Rabi Alawal 1440H in several testing sites throughout the Kingdom.
He asserted that the test consists of two basic tests: general and specialized. The general test covers the general educational areas in which all teaching disciplines are involved. It includes professional knowledge, promotion and support of learning and professional responsibility. The specialized test covers the basic areas of specialization of the candidate.
