I. Fundamentals of engineering Exam
The exam consists of two parts:
Part One
This exam is a common exam that is required by all engineering disciplines and is referred to as the “General Engineering Exam". The exam contains 90 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and lasts for a period of three hours. This exam covers the common topics that are required by all engineering disciplines such as mathematics, engineering drawing, engineering economy, and project management.
Part Two
This exam tests the engineer in his area of specialization. The National Center for Assessment offers exams in the following Engineering Disciplines:
- Civil Engineering Exam
This exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of three hours.
- Electrical Engineering Exam
This exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of three hours.
- Mechanical Engineering Exam
This exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of three hours.
- Chemical Engineering Exam
This exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of 3 hours.
- Industrial Engineering Exam
This exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of three hours.
- Structural Engineering
This exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of three hours.
- Other Engineering Disciplines Exam
This exam consists of 60 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of three hours. This exam is required by all engineers whose areas of specializations different from those listed in 1 – 6 above.
II. Fundamentals of Architecture Exam
This exam consists of one part only and includes 110 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with a duration of three hours. This exam is required by those whose area of specializations related to the field of Architecture.
